If there are Ukrainians who would like to support the local community and join the festive atmosphere, we would be very happy to have your participation.
Volunteer help is needed for approximately 2 hours during the parade.

March 8 - International Women’s Day.
For our organization, Future of Ukrainian Nation, this day has a special meaning. Living and working in Ireland, we have the honor every day to collaborate with strong, brave, and incredible women - both Ukrainian and Irish - who support each other.
The history of this day began more than a hundred years ago, when women in different countries around the world raised their voices for their rights - for the right to vote, decent working conditions, equal opportunities, and participation in social life.
Today, for Ukraine, this day has an even deeper meaning.
In the time of the full-scale war, Ukrainian women demonstrate incredible strength every day. They serve in the Armed Forces, save lives in hospitals, engage in volunteer work, support their families, raise children, and uphold the lives of communities.
For many women today, the fight for rights also means the fight for the most precious things - the right to live, the right to give birth to children, and the right to raise them in safety and freedom.
Today, Ukrainian women fight not only for their own rights. They fight for the right to life, for the right to a future, and for the right to freedom for the next generations.
We are sincerely grateful to the women of Ireland for their solidarity, support of Ukrainian communities, and the humanity they demonstrate every day.
With gratitude and respect to every woman - in Ukraine and in Ireland.

8 березня - Міжнародний день боротьби за права жінок.
Для нашої організації Future of Ukrainian Nation цей день має особливий зміст. Живучи та працюючи в Ірландії, ми щодня маємо честь співпрацювати з сильними, сміливими та неймовірними жінками - українками та ірландками, які підтримують одна одну.
Історія цього дня почалася понад сто років тому, коли жінки у різних країнах світу підняли голос за свої права — за право голосу, гідні умови праці, рівні можливості та участь у суспільному житті.
Сьогодні для України цей день має ще глибший зміст.
У час повномасштабної війни українські жінки щодня демонструють неймовірну силу. Вони служать у Збройних Силах, рятують життя у лікарнях, займаються волонтерством, підтримують родини, виховують дітей і тримають на собі життя громад.
Для багатьох жінок сьогодні боротьба за права означає також боротьбу за найцінніше - право жити, право народжувати дітей і право ростити їх у безпеці та свободі.
Сьогодні українські жінки борються не лише за свої права. Вони борються за право життя, за право майбутнього і за право свободи для наступних поколінь.
Ми щиро вдячні жінкам Ірландії за солідарність, підтримку українських громад та людяність, яку вони демонструють щодня.
З вдячністю і повагою до кожної жінки - в Україні та в Ірландії.

Our children’s team FOUN Kerry showed true cohesion and unity - just like the entire Ukrainian community in Ireland from February 21 to 24.
They played with character, supported each other until the last minute - and the 7:2 result speaks for itself.

Photos from the game have already flown across Ireland and the entire world, from the Verkhovna Rada to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and made a few stops of attention among international partners 🫶

The Wall of Truth. An Open-Air Documentary Exhibition
Today we presented an exhibition of documented facts of the war – materials collected by FOUN Kerry together with the team of the Office of the Ombudsman of Ukraine.
This is not just photos on a fence.
This is not just numbers in reports.
These are evidence.
Evidence of war crimes.
Evidence of terror against civilians.
Evidence of gross human rights violations.
Every photograph is a destroyed home.
Every document is someone’s testimony.
Every number is someone’s life.
Ukrainians in Kerry live, work, raise their children, and smile in the streets. But behind those smiles lies daily pain — news from home, waiting, fear, and hope.
We have no right to allow this war to become “normal.”
We have no right to remain silent.
We have no right to grow accustomed to evil.
That is why we address the entire community of Kerry — the Irish, the Ukrainians, and all people of goodwill.
Come.
See.
Pause for a moment.
Lay flowers in memory of those who have lost their lives.
Tie a blue-and-yellow ribbon as a symbol of solidarity.
Show that humanity is stronger than fear.
This is not about politics.
This is about life.
This is about dignity.
This is about the right of people to live without war.
We are tired of the war. But we are not tired of fighting for the truth.
Together, we can ensure that light overcomes darkness.
Together, we can show that Kerry is a community that does not stand aside.

Сьогодні ми представили виставку задокументованих фактів війни – матеріали, зібрані FOUN Kerry спільно з командою Офісу Омбудсмана України.
Це не просто фото на огорожі.

On Thursday afternoon, a significant boost for housing in Killarney was confirmed with the announcement that the upcoming Cronin's Wood development, which has secured planning approval, will be dedicated entirely to meeting social housing needs.
The Department has given the go-ahead for the project, which will consist of 249 homes, to be constructed by Cooperative Housing Ireland. With planning permission in place, the development will roll out in stages between 2025 and 2027.
The 249 homes will include:
38 one-bedroom units
86 two-bedroom units
117 three-bedroom units
6 four-bedroom units
2 five-bedroom units
All the homes within this project will contribute to the social housing program, with tenants being assigned from the Kerry County Council's approved housing applicants list.
Cllr Niall Kelleher expressed his support for the initiative, acknowledging its role in addressing Killarney’s housing waiting list. However, he also suggested that a portion of the houses be made available for an affordable housing scheme, as the middle-income group faces challenges both with securing mortgages and not qualifying for social housing.
Cllr Marie Moloney echoed this positive sentiment, calling it a beneficial addition to the town's social housing efforts, alongside the approval of a minor injuries clinic. Deputy Danny Healy-Rae also highlighted the project's importance, noting that it will play a vital role in providing housing for approved applicants on Kerry County Council's list.
Cronin’s Wood is situated on Killarney’s eastern side, near the road from Daly’s Roundabout leading to Spa.

A new development of 67 apartments has been given the green light for Killarney by the Department of Housing and Local Government, it was confirmed this week.
The project, led by Focus Housing Association in partnership with Kerry County Council, will be situated on a vacant site near the entrance to the Woodlands Industrial Estate, just off the Killarney bypass, close to the National Car Test Centre turn-off.
The development will feature 31 one-bedroom apartments and 36 two-bedroom units.
Kerry County Council has reiterated its commitment to supporting approved housing bodies and is already collaborating closely with them to deliver social housing across the county.
The greatest housing demand in Killarney is for one and two-bedroom units, which have the longest waiting lists.
Focus Housing Association is an award-winning, independent, not-for-profit organisation that provides affordable rental housing.

The Creators of the new series about "Harry Potter" are looking for children aged 9-11 years from Britain or Ireland to play the main roles.
On the official page of the Potter films, an announcement appeared about the searchfor actors for a new series.
The Creators of the series are restarting the universe and are looking for children who will be bewteen 9 and 11 years old in April 2025 for the main roles. The main condition is that the child must live the UK or Ireland.
Apart from the age and place of residence, there is no restrictions on actors.
"We strive for inclusive, diverse casting. For each role, submit questionaires regardless of ethnic origin, disability, race, or any other characteristics that are protected by law." - it is said in the casting announcement.
Production on the Harry Potter series is scheduled to begin in April 2025. It is planned that each season will cover the plot of one of the books. The series is scheduled to be shown on TV screens in 2026.
